Three Mongrel Mob members were arrested in Hastings last night after one assaulted a woman and the other two stopped police from doing their job.
Police were called to a Landers Street house in Flaxmere about 7.30pm after reports that a gang member was assaulting and throwing bottles at a woman on the street.
Two other gang members intervened when police arrived at the house and stopped them arresting him, Senior Sergeant Luke Shadbolt said.
One man has been charged with assault and two others with obstructing police.
All three will appear in Hastings District Court today.
