KEY POINTS:
Slain Christchurch 10-year-old Charlene Makaza's adoptive family was in Christchurch District Court again today as the man charged with her murder made another brief appearance.
Charlene's uncle George Evans Gwaze, 54, was further remanded in custody.
Gwaze waved to his wife, son and daughter and other members of the Zimbabwe community during his brief appearance, raising a double thumbs-up to the group as he stood in the dock.
His lawyer, Jonathan Eaton, told Judge David Holderness he had received all police documents relating to the case and asked for a remand to arrange a date for a depositions hearing.
Gwaze, who is charged with murder and sexual violation, was remanded in custody until April 12 for another pre-depositions conference.
