KEY POINTS:
Police have laid further charges against the two men charged with the kidnapping of a young Dutch couple campervanning in the Bay of Islands in November.
Four additional sexual violation charges, plus a charge of unlawful use of a document have been made against Keith Anthony McEwen, 29, of no fixed abode, and 27-year-old Christopher Mana Manuel, of Dargaville.
The pair initially faced one charge of unlawful sexual connection, as well as stupefaction with the intent to sexually violate the woman, rape, robbery of bank cards and unlawful detainment.
The men appeared in Kaikohe District Court today and were remanded in custody until a predepositions hearing on January 30.
