KEY POINTS:
Fullers is extending the review of its passenger ferry services, launched after two recent incidents in which around 80 commuters were stranded overnight on Waiheke Island and an overloaded ferry sailed.
Chief executive Douglas Hudson described the incidents as a "wake-up call" and said the company would seek meetings with ferry-user groups and set up other discussion forums.
"This exercise will help us better pinpoint our shortcomings and to design improved processes and strategies to address them."
Extra vessels and services had been arranged ahead of this weekend's Devonport Wine & Food Festival.
