Readers of the new Herald on Sunday, which launches this weekend, will also receive New Zealand's first entertainment and television magazine to include free and pay TV channels.
VIEW, a 36-page colour magazine, will contain a full week's TV listings guide including 20 pay television channels as well as those which are free-to-air.
Herald on Sunday editor Sue Chetwin said VIEW would be a big bonus for readers.
"This will be the first time most of Sky's pay channels will be in a no-charge guide. This expanded guide reflects the rapid growth of Sky, which now broadcasts to nearly 40 per cent of New Zealand homes," she said.
VIEW will not affect the Herald's television listings and home entertainment guide e.g., which will continue to appear in the daily newspaper on Thursdays.
VIEW is one of two magazines included with the new, compact paper. The other, Sunday Life, comes with attitude, edge and fun, recognising that leisure reading is a big part of the way people spend Sunday.
Chetwin said: "If you want to luxuriate in the best of travel writing, read personality profiles with a bite, wander through some gorgeous homes and gardens and find out how you might achieve the look, and dress without busting the budget, Sunday Life is for you".
The full-colour magazine will also be home to restaurant reviews, food and wine, witty columns and the calming relief of a relationship counsellor.
Four days from launch, the Herald on Sunday has more than 50,000 home subscribers on board, with more signing up every day.
