John Rosser and Viva Voce promise The Full Monte in the chamber choir's last concert for this year - but clothes will stay on as we are given a generous selection of Monteverdi's music, including excerpts from his opera Orfeo on its 400th birthday.
For Rosser, the Italian composer is "passion translated directly into music. Be it laughter or grief you feel it with him." And what better way to reveal this but the final love duet Pur ti miro from Poppea and Rosser's personal favourite, The Sestina, a set of six laments from Monteverdi's Sixth Book of Madrigals.
