A fuel tanker carrying 13,000 litres of diesel has rolled south of Auckland, trapping a driver this morning and causing fuel to leak.
The tanker driver was trapped in his cab until firefighters freed him this morning after the accident in Buckland, near Tuakau, just south of the Auckland-Waikato border.

Jaron Phillips, Northern Fire Communications shift manager, said the vehicle rolled on a tanker track on a rural property and had started leaking some fuel.
Mr Phillips said the tanker was carrying some 13,000 litres of diesel and about 800 litres of petrol when it came to grief just before 7am.
