A thawing cake left at a South Dunedin bus stop prompted a police response after concerns from the public.
Police received a report of a "suspicious package" from a member of the public on Monday afternoon.
A patrol unit went to the bus stop in Victoria Rd.
"It was a suspicious package that turned out to be a frozen cake," a police spokeswoman said.
The cake was found to be melting, but otherwise of no concern.
