Freight plane makes emergency landing

A freight plane carrying three people had to make an emergency landing at Rotorua Airport yesterday when some of the wheels failed.

Police say the plane landed safely after the pilot reported the wheels on the left side of the Convair were not locking into position as it approached the airport about 10am.
