A sudden unexplained death in Freeman's Bay on the weekend does not appear to be suspicious, police say.
Police were at the residential property on Beresford St Central after the 52-year-old man was found dead on Saturday. Uniformed police officers and detectives in plain clothes were at the property, which was cordoned off with white police tape.
Detective Scott Beard said a post-mortem was carried out on Sunday and further investigation was required. Police in boiler suits were at the house again today.
"It does not appear at this stage that there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death," a police spokeswoman said this evening.
"It will be referred to the Coroner."
