Writer and actor John Clarke will receive the honorary Doctorate of Literature at a special ceremony as a part of a university alumni reunion in Melbourne next month.
Vice-Chancellor Pat Walsh that through his comic exploits John Clarke had revealed the inner truth of society, culture and politics in the Antipodes.
Clarke was born in Palmerston North in 1948 and was a student at Victoria in the late 1960s.
