A Far North businessman who defrauded 26 investors of more than $700,000 has been given time to arrange care for his dying wife before he is sent to jail.
Robert Guy Morris, 61, of Houhora, was convicted in the Whangarei District Court of 27 fraud-related charges totalling $715,850.
Judge Keith de Ridder granted bail so Morris could make arrangements for the care of his terminally ill wife.
