Convicted fraudster Tracy Hibberd will not appeal her conviction or sentence. Hibberd, 35, is serving an eight-month home-detention sentence for faking her early childhood teaching diploma. Hibberd said she had no faith in the justice system giving her a "fair go".
Auckland police district commander Superintendent Mike Clement said an investigation into Hibberd's prosecution was being peer-reviewed to ensure police followed acceptable practice. The investigating officer, Constable Paul Sharples, emailed witness statements to other witnesses and made derogatory comments about judges.
