A Christchurch man fighting extradition to his native Poland says he will take his case to the Supreme Court again.
Slawomir Bujak has fought a decade-long battle to avoid being sent home.
Authorities there say he is a multimillion-dollar fraudster, while Mr Bujak has said he was being targeted for his political beliefs after standing unsuccessfully for Parliament, The Press reported.
Mr Bujak has already unsuccessfully appealed as far as the Supreme Court to prevent an order sought by Poland to freeze his New Zealand assets.
On Friday, the Court of Appeal dismissed Mr Bujak's latest appeal, this time concerning extradition proceedings.
"In our view, the necessary formalities and authentication under the law of New Zealand for extradition have been met," the court's judgement said.
Despite this setback, Mr Bujak said that he would appeal the judgment to the Supreme Court.
If the Supreme Court refused to hear his appeal, Mr Bujak might have run out of options to challenge Poland's bid to bring him back to face fraud charges.
