A Foxton man charged with two home invasions on the same elderly victim can now be named.
Kally Joseph Taylor, 39, appeared in the Palmerston North District Court on Tuesday afternoon.
He entered no pleas to the 12 charges related to the home invasions on October 14 last year, and again on January 5.
Taylor is charged that on October 14, 2017 he indecently assaulted the elderly woman, detained her without her consent to be confined, robbed her of her vehicle while armed with a knife and unlawfully used her bank card.
He is further charged that on January 5 he entered the residential home on Church St with intent to commit a crime, raped an elderly woman, sexually violated her by unlawful sexual connection, attempted to sexually violate her, threatened to kill the woman, detained the woman without her consent to be confined, unlawfully used her bank card and robbed the woman of her vehicle, valued at $7000.
