Ansett's fleet of 767s hit further turbulence after problems were discovered in three jets, causing delays for hundreds of passengers in Australia.
The disruptions were compounded when a Boeing 737 had to be overhauled after a fox was sucked into its engine as it took off from Melbourne Airport.
An Ansett spokeswoman said warning lights did not come on until the plane went to land in Canberra, where the remains of the fox were discovered.
The three 767s were grounded at Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport with minor electrical and computer problems. On April 12, Ansett, which is owned by Air New Zealand, had its 767 fleet grounded after cracks were found in the engine mountings of three aircraft.
