A fourth person was arrested today in connection with an armed robbery of a Taupo bar in which a patron was stabbed above the eye as he tried to flee.
Detective Sergeant Dave Beattie, of Taupo CIB, said a 20-year-old Taupo woman allegedly drove a getaway car for three armed men who robbed the Inn Tavern in Taupo last Thursday night.
The men, armed with knives and a pistol, slashed a patron above his eyelid when he tried to escape.
The alleged attackers fled with less than $30.
Two men were arrested in Taupo and a third man in Wellsford, north of Auckland.
All four will appear in the Taupo District Court on June 1.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
