KEY POINTS:
Police were today continuing the hunt for a fourth man for the vicious gang rape of an 18-year-old woman in the Wellington suburb of Petone after three others were arrested.
The young woman was raped in a Housing New Zealand complex on Jackson St on March 7 and Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Levy told NZPA she had contacted police quickly.
At least some of the men were known to her, which is how police knew they were hunting for Kereti Te Huna.
Mr Levy said Te Huna lived in the area and, other than being wanted for rape, was not believed to be dangerous.
The victim was "fine" and having counselling.
Anybody with information was asked to contact Lower Hutt police on 04 560 2600.
