Half of the 28 people who worked on the axed Holmes current affairs show on Prime have lost their jobs.
The television channel announced the 14 redundancies today.
The Paul Holmes show aired for the last time on Monday, after a six-month run.
Holmes is staying with Prime and will host special programmes such as a leaders' debate at the end of August.
A weekly current affairs show starts later in the year. The remaining Holmes staff will work on Prime's 5.30 daily news and the new weekly offering.
