Four soldiers have been injured in a truck crash during an army training exercise on the west coast of the South Island.
The crash happened on a dirt track leading into the Buller Ranges, about 15 kilometres from Charleston, at 6:20pm last night.
A New Zealand Defence Force statement said the two Pinzgauer trucks collided on a blind corner while going through a training exercise.
Two soldiers received minor injuries, with one discharged from Buller Hospital last night.
Another two received suspected broken bones - one to a forearm and one to a cheekbone - and are expected to be transferred to Greymouth Hospital later today.
