Four killed in Taranaki head-on crash

Four people were killed in Taranaki last night in a head-on crash between a car and a light truck.

Those killed, all adults, were in the car, which Senior Sergeant Allan Whalley of New Plymouth said appeared to have crossed the centre line of State Highway 3, midway between Tariki and the Tariki underpass.

The two people in the truck suffered moderate to serious leg injuries.
