Four people from Waikato suffered from smoke inhalation after they moved an outdoor fire brazier indoors early this morning.
Fire and ambulance services were called to a house on Kiatoa St in Ngaruawahia, Waikato, about 2.15am, after reports that four people had collapsed, northern fire communication shift manager Dallas Ramsay said.
Ms Ramsay said the group had moved an outdoor fire brazier, which was burning coal, inside the house.
A St John ambulance spokeswoman said the four people were taken to Waikato Hospital by ambulance, where they were treated for smoke inhalation.
