KEY POINTS:
Four people have appeared in Hamilton District Court following a home invasion in Morrinsville which left a woman with a punctured lung and multiple stab wounds.
As well as the injuries suffered by the woman, a man in the house was hit with a weapon.
Two children were asleep in the house at the time of the attack.
The four are each charged with aggravated burglary, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Clinton Jack Dowd, 28, of Papakura, and unemployed Morrinsville man Grant Keith Barlow, 29, were both remanded in custody to reappear in court tomorrow for a bail application.
Morrinsville man Marcus Antony Colebourn, 29, unemployed, was remanded in custody to next appear in court on August 8 for a bail application.
The hearing for a woman accused of being involved in the home invasion was held in closed court and all details, including her name, were suppressed by community magistrate Mary Symans.
None of the group entered any pleas.
