Four people have been hospitalised after a jet boat accident on the Godley River, north of Lake Tekapo in Canterbury, this morning.
St John Ambulance was called at 10.40am and an ambulance was sent from Tekapo, along with a Westpac Rescue Helicopter with St John paramedics on board.
Police also attended due to the off-road nature of the incident.
Two people were flown to Christchurch Hospital, one with serious injuries and the other with moderate injuries.
Another two people were taken by road to Timaru Hospital with moderate injuries.
