Four people have been hospitalised following a chemical spill on a Sealord fishing boat at the company's Port Nelson site this morning.
Emergency services had been at the scene since 8.45am and were still working to ventilate the vessel, an ambulance spokesman said.
A chlorine leak from a container on board the Ankaha has been identified as the cause of the spill, which authorities managed to keep contained to the vessel.
Of the four people who were admitted to hospital, two have been released, with the other two scheduled for release later this afternoon.
Public affairs and communications manager Alison Sykora said there was no serious harm to these people.
