Four people narrowly escaped serious injuries after their car was hit by a train in Canterbury on Sunday.
The car was struck about midday on the main trunk line crossing Innes Road, just north of Amberley.
An ambulance communications spokesman said a witness told them the crash looked spectacular, but fortunately the car just glanced off the train.
"Nobody was injured and everybody was ok. In the end it was very minor.''
It was not often people escaped being hurt when their vehicle was hit by a train, the spokesman said.
