Four buses have been damaged by fire in a blaze at a Wellington bus depot early this morning.
Fire Service shift manager Jan Wills said the firefighters were called to Go Wellington Kilbirnie's terminal in Onepu Rd at 2.10am to find four buses on fire.
One passenger bus was well ablaze when the first crew arrived at the scene, she said.
Three more buses were discovered burning at the Kilbirnie bus workshops and bus sheds.
Fire Safety Officers would be investigating at first light.
Wellington Police Inspector Marty Parker said the blaze had left buses damaged in the public bus company's fleet.
