Four people have been arrested over a lengthy crime spree which included a molotov cocktail attack on a Wellington police station.

The spree late last month included burglaries, multiple car thefts, arsons and a ram raid on a liquor store.

Much of it was carried out overnight on May 25, including an attack where windows were broken and molotov cocktails were thrown inside the Karori police station.

Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Steve Dunn this afternoon announced three men, aged 25, 28 and 43, and a 51-year-old woman were expected to be charged with the alleged offending.

"At the time of these alleged incidents, we said we were taking a zero tolerance approach to this type of anti-social behaviour and we meant it."

Officers investigating the case recovered a large amount of stolen property in two searches in the suburbs of Newlands and Miramar today, Mr Dunn said.

The searches had sparked more investigation and further arrests and charges were likely, he said.

Police earlier linked two male european offenders to burglaries at Storage King on Hutt Road, and at the Tile Warehouse on Kaiwharawhara Road - where they smashed their way inside and stole a 42 inch television.

Another robbery at Wellington Mowers and Chainsaws in Karori saw offenders smash their way inside, stealing three Husqvana trimmers and two Husqvana chainsaws.

The offenders were accused of stealing three Subaru vehicles, one of which was used to carry out the ram raid on the liquor store in Brooklyn.
