Police have arrested four men in connection to a brutal assault on an 18-year-old outside the Pyramid bar on Wyndham St in the early hours of May 5.
The man was left unconscious after he attempted to break up a fight and was taken Auckland Hospital with fractures to his face and skull.
Police said an 18-year-old unemployed Mt Roskill man and a 22-year-old airport worker from Pakuranga will each be charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, while a 19-year-old unemployed man from Pakuranga and a 23-year-old airport worker from Mangere Bridge are each charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and assault with intent to injure.
The four are in police custody and will appear at Auckland District Court tomorrow.
Police said the victim of the assault has been told of today's arrests and, while he has been discharged from hospital, he is still suffering from the injuries he received.
