Four people have been arrested for stealing a murder victim's car.
Donald Stewart, 74, was found dead near a public toilet on Hamilton's London St about 6am on June 27. A pathologist reported that he had died from a blow to the head.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Greene said two unemployed Hamilton men aged 36 and 29, an unemployed 25-year-old Otorohanga woman and a 44-year-old woman from Hamilton have been charged with stealing Mr Stewart's Peugeot sedan.
"The four were arrested over recent days and will all be appearing in the Hamilton District Court tomorrow," Mr Greene said.
He said police would not be commenting further because the case was before the courts.
Three teenage boys, aged 14, 15 and 17, appeared in Youth and District Courts in Hamilton earlier this month, charged with the murder of Mr Stewart.
Details of the three teenagers arrested have been suppressed and they have been remanded to reappear in court next week.
Mr Stewart's white Peugeot was found stripped in an Auckland car wrecker's yard, three days after the murder.
