Four drug couriers posing as tourists have been caught trying to smuggle 11kg of meth into New Zealand.
Customs stopped the people, two men and two women, on arrival at Auckland International Airport yesterday, and found a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine hidden in their suitcases.
The group, believed to be in their late 20s to late 30s, appeared in Manukau District Court this afternoon, charged with importing and possessing methamphetamine.
They have been remanded in custody until their next court appearance in July.
Investigations are continuing.
