KEY POINTS:
The former head of a high-profile alcohol rehabilitation centre has been charged with drink-driving for the second time this week.
Ewen James McLeod is alleged to have been driving with a breath-alcohol level of 823mcg to a litre of breath near his home on Banks Peninsula yesterday.
The 59-year-old former director of The Deanery is also charged with driving while his licence was suspended.
He faced similar charges at court on Tuesday when he was granted a registrar's remand without having to appear.
He appeared in Christchurch District Court today after being held in the cells and was remanded to March 28 by Judge Stephen Erber.
The police said they would ask to have all the charges brought together on that day.
The Deanery, in central Christchurch, offered alcohol rehabilitation treatment to high profile clients before its collapse in 2003.
McLeod is now a real estate agent.
