A former principal of a Canterbury school facing child sex charges from the 1990s remains in custody.
Michael William Hogan, 54, earlier pleaded not guilty to nine sexual violation and indecency charges relating to a child under 16.
He appeared at Christchurch District Court again today where defence counsel Grant Tyrrell said he required more time before pleas are entered to four other charges.
Judge Tim Gilbert remanded him in custody for a pre-trial callover on October 12 when it is likely Hogan will plead to the remaining charges.
Up until September last year, Hogan was principal of Prebbleton School in Canterbury.
