A former Rotorua policeman was found guilty last night by a jury in the High Court in Wellington of indecently assaulting a teenage girl 26 years ago.
Peter Gavin Dunlop, 55, was charged with two counts of indecent assault and one of rape.
After deliberating for 6 1/2 hours the jury of seven men and five women found him guilty of one indecent assault charge.
An order suppressing Dunlop's name was lifted by Justice John Wild.
