KEY POINTS:
A former ambulance officer who allegedly sexually assaulted three women while on the way to hospital in an ambulance still works as a health professional.
Suppression orders prevent the Herald on Sunday from revealing his name, occupation or employer, but the 33-year-old will appear in Auckland District Court for a depositions hearing tomorrow.
The man faces four charges of indecent assault, one charge of sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection and another charge of attempted sexual violation by unlawful connection.
Although he now lives and works in Dunedin, the alleged offending took place in Auckland and the North Shore on three separate occasions in late 1999 and early 2000 while female patients were being transported by ambulance.
Police began the investigation in mid-2004, after one of the women made a complaint, and the former ambulance officer was arrested last October.
