Former New Zealand First MP Tutekawa Wyllie has been fined $2700 for not filing his income tax and GST returns.
Wyllie, 50, who court papers list as a business management consultant from Crofton Downs, Wellington, had pleaded guilty to 22 charges.
He told Judge Jill Moss he had not been as skilled in tax matters as he should have been. All the returns had now been filed and he had arranged payment of any outstanding tax.
