Former Immigration Service head Mary Anne Thompson will be sentenced today after pleading guilty to fraud.
Thompson has admitted using her CV fraudulently, enabling her to obtain top government positions.
She had claimed she held a doctorate in Philosophy from the London School of Economics and was due to stand trial on three charges of fraudulently using and attempting to use a document, but pleaded guilty last month.
The three charges were reduced to one.
Thompson will be sentenced on that charge in the Wellington District Court this morning.
