The former Rotorua detective who investigated complaints against police made by Louise Nicholas has reappeared in court charged with attempting to obstruct the course of justice by suppressing her allegations.
The charges span between 1993 and 1995 while John Dewar, 53, was chief inspector of the Rotorua CIB. He was further remanded on bail without plea until July 28.
