KEY POINTS:
A former Rodney District councillor who failed to regain office by one vote wants a recount.
Wayne Walker yesterday applied to the North Shore District Court for the recount of votes received in the October 13 poll for the council's Hibiscus Coast Ward.
Mr Walker, who also ran unsuccessfully for mayor, expects to learn this week whether a recount will happen - possibly early next month
