Fog restrictions at Auckland Airport which resulted in the cancellation and delay of a number of regional flights this morning have been lifted.
Auckland Airport spokesman Simon Lambourne said flight restrictions were put in place around 5am but were lifted just before 8am.
The fog caused the cancellation of six regional arrivals and departures. A further 24 regional arrivals and 10 regional departures were delayed.
Main trunk flights and international flights were not affected by the fog, he said.
Passengers were advised to check the airport's website or iPhone App for the latest flight arrival and departure information.
