Fog lifts at Auckland Airport

Fog delayed some flights at Auckland today although the airport at Mangere was not closed.

An airport spokeswoman said this morning some incoming flights were diverted to other airports and others about to take off were delayed.

The city's harbour bridge was also affected by heavy fog with warning signs urging motorists to drive carefully as visibility was reduced.

The fog later lifted and the airport returned to normal services.
