Two flights were cancelled and one diverted after fog closed Christchurch Airport for about two hours this morning.
An airport spokeswoman said no international flights were delayed but some domestic passengers were affected when the fog rolled in about 7.30am.
An Air New Zealand spokeswoman said two domestic flights were cancelled and one aircraft diverted from Christchurch, affecting about 200 passengers.
One Origin Pacific flight to Nelson was delayed, affecting only a handful of passengers.
The airport reopened about 9.30am and the backlog of passengers was expected to be cleared by about 11am.
