Fog closes Auckland Airport

Auckland Airport was closed this morning due to fog.

The fog rolled in unexpectedly around eight this morning and has affected the travel plans of hundreds of people.

Most of the provincial airports are open, however, and flights are being diverted.

Early international flights were able to land but nothing was able come in between 8am and 11am.
