KEY POINTS:
Fog surrounding Christchurch International Airport has lifted and flights are returning to normal.
Domestic and international flights could not depart or arrive from the airport this morning because of the fog.
An airport spokesman said the fog had now cleared and airlines were working to shift the backlog of passengers who were affected.
