Flying wood injures joiner

A 33-year-old Mt Maunganui joiner was in a serious condition in Waikato Hospital yesterday after a piece of wood embedded in his jaw.

A colleague at a Mt Maunganui factory was cutting a piece of timber when it apparently flew from the saw.
