A New Zealander being flown from Wisconsin to California in a light plane landed safely on an American highway last night (NZ time).
The Californian teenage pilot flying Rami Andrawes, 26, of New Zealand, landed on the highway, 15km west of Laramie, the Star-Tribune at Jackson Hole reported.
The pilot, Nick Robeles, 19, of Denair, California, said they had stopped in Cheyenne, but after taking off again feared the plane was not climbing fast enough to make it over mountain ranges.
