It's a win for Christmas goodwill as a delivery of flowers to Mt Eden prison inmates is allowed to go ahead.
The Quakers were earlier told their traditional delivery of Christmas posies would be banned this year over fears they could be smuggling contraband.
Quakers Mt Eden clerk Linley Gregory says the Department of Corrections changed its mind at a meeting today telling them the posies would be allowed.
She says during the meeting they talked about the history of the flower delivery, which started with conscientious objectors of World War One.
The Quakers are planning on delivering more than 200 posies to the prison on Christmas Eve.
