Heavy rain has flooded houses in Auckland and Waikato and blocked a road tonight.
Onehunga Harbour Rd was closed at 10pm due to surface flooding, said Fire Service spokesman Jarron Phillips.
A house in Massey was also flooded about the same time.
Earlier in the day there was surface flooding in Waikato, and the Fire Service helped at two houses in Leamington, a business in Cambridge and a basement in Turangi.
Mr Phillips said the flooding was typical of "intense quick downpours" such as those experienced.
