Firefighters were called to clear away flooding on the greens at the Carterton Bowling Club on Saturday morning.
The flooding at the club had been reported shortly after 9am and was under control within about 10 minutes of firefighters arriving at the club, according to fire communications supervisor Tim Rees.
A Featherston fire crew attended a SH2 motorcycle crash shortly before 7pm Saturday on the Rimutaka hill, he said, where firefighters worked traffic control and assisted paramedics.
The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash and the rider was taken from the scene by ambulance.
About an hour later, a Masterton fire crew doused a fire that gutted a car abandoned on the stock track running alongside the Waipoua River near the Colombo Road Netball Courts, he said.
