There is relief for Taranaki residents as heavy rain eased today and the severe weather warning for the region was lifted this afternoon.
Residents were warned of possible slips and flooding as heavy rain battered parts of the province this morning.
The key areas of concern were Oakura, Inglewood and Stratford.
